LUV Prayer Update June/July 2024
Published by LoveUnVeiled on
As the hot days of summer are upon us, pray for a time of respite and renewal for all of our LUV leaders involved with leading and discipling women from spiritual bondage to freedom.
Praise: In the last month we have had a busy, intense and yet wonderful season, with many workshops, weekly groups, Let’s Get Real event, a Forgiveness Workshop and a Commissioning. We sense the Spirit of the Lord moving, even though the battles are fierce. There has been much rejoicing over those whose lives have been transformed and set free to multiply, and sadness as we lost a beloved partner and faithful friend in the ministry, Karen Henegar, who went home to be with Jesus this month. We thank the Lord for our faithful partners who hold us up in prayer and financial giving.
Here are a few prayer to bring before the Lord in prayer this summer.
Prayers for Liz who is at the helm of LUV directing, leading and guiding women locally, nationally and internationally, in the spirit of the Lord. Pray protection over Liz as she travels in the summer, anointing as she teaches and great discernment as she ministers to leaders all over the world.
Pray for the many new groups underway this summer. We have 5 new weekly groups that have begun in Orlando as well as new groups in Jacksonville and Ocala, Florida, Atlanta Georgia, and Phoenix, Arizona. We have 3 new groups in SE Asia and a new disciple in South America who has been in LUV training. Pray all these leaders will be anointed to teach the Word and for the disciples to come with willing hearts to be set free to be all the Lord has called them to be.
Pray for a LUV Leader working with a group of women in an area of darkness and poverty, rampant with drugs and homelessness, yet hungry for Jesus. Pray she will be empowered with wisdom and compassion to lead well, and that many women be saved and set free.
Pray for the translations of LUV material currently in process. Pray the Lord will anoint and equip the translators to be accurate and expedient. Pray the Lord will provide the funds needed for translations and printing. Pray the Lord will provide translators for new groups in various regions.
Pray for anointing on Workbook Six, Preparing the Bride, as Liz finishes writing material to complete the final Workbook curriculum.
Pray for the 15 women in southern Europe who began their first workshop in January, that the Lord will continue His work of healing and transformation and clear their calendars to return for Workshop 2. Pray anointing and wisdom over the translating of materials this summer.
Praise for our Europe Group as they have recently completed their final workshop and were commissioned end of June. Pray these women be blessed as they go in faith to make disciples of all nations. Pray specifically for God’s anointing on and power. Pray He will open doors for these women to reach women in their countries who need freedom and healing in Jesus and who will become disciples.
Pray for Liz’s family. Liz will be spending time with family this summer. Continue to pray for her Mum and Dad as her 91-year-old Dad deals with physical disabilities, and her (almost) 90-year-old Mum is the main caregiver. Pray for safety for her dad in having needed hand surgery. Pray for sweet birthday celebrations of her brother’s 60th and Mum’s 90th. Pray for travel mercies and that in-between ministry, Liz will be able to rest in soul, mind and body.
Pray for all LUV Leaders: Spiritual battle is evident as the enemy rages by attacking marriages, health, family values and more. Pray against the devil’s schemes and for strength and wisdom for each leader to persevere amid trials and grow closer to the Lord and stronger in His word.
Pray for the financial needs of LUV’s growing ministry. Pray the Lord will impress on the hearts of individuals, churches and ministries to invest in this work of the Lord. Pray for the Lord’s provision above and beyond immediate needs.
