Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
“But He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive.” John 7:37-39
“Lord we are thirsty. We are thirsty for You. Fill us with the Living water. We busy ourselves with programs and church going, with activities and goals. But our souls are dry and thirsty in a dry and barren land. How we need the river, how we need the rain. Fill us with the Water of life, Lord our souls wait on You, come Living water……”
This was the cry of our hearts as we met together last week, fifteen women from around the world, joining together in Orlando, for our third LUV Transformation and Multiplication workshop. Confessing our weakness and our desperate need for more of God we acknowledged that we can do nothing without Him, we need Him.
It blessed my heart as our Butterflies from the USA (North Carolina, Ohio, Orlando), Cambodia, Honduras, Kenya, Poland, and Peru sought God for deeper healing, refreshing and restoration. We cried out for deeper intimacy with Him, for more of His Spirit to bring healing and freedom to women in our different countries. We are desperate. They are desperate. We cannot bring freedom and transformation in our own strength – we need the Living water!
This song deeply expressed our hearts and filled our thirsty souls with His Living water in worship. I pray it will bless and refresh your spirit too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVPz0QgO5Q0
On Sunday evening partners and friends joined us for a powerful and anointed time of testimony from our Butterflies in each country. Each woman testified to the powerful transformation taking place in her life since Workshop One. It is evident. We see the changes in each woman’s life and countenance. Like the woman at the well, they are leaving their water-pots of pride, insecurity, fear, shame, abuse, religion, good works, busyness – and are drinking from the Living water. God is preparing these women to multiply His glory among the nations at home and abroad.
Jody, one of our LUV leaders in Kenya, is currently home on sabbatical in Ohio. Raised in a ministry and missionary family, Jody confessed that she lived in bondage for years, but didn’t know it. She and her sister Christy, minister to young women in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Jody confessed that she would share the gospel but would then hit a block. She could only take these women so far. Now she realizes she herself was not living in freedom. She had not dealt with her own brokenness. She needed healing. She needed His power.
God has been bringing Jody through deeper healing and freedom each time we meet. He is teaching her to walk in freedom and live in the fullness of His Spirit. Her confession was not only freedom for her, but for those listening. Her freedom is transforming her perception of who she is in Christ and empowering her to minister in “Spirit and in Truth” to others.
While Jody is here in the US, God is continuing to work through the Butterfly ministry in Kenya, which Jody and her sister Christy started last year. Transformation and multiplication continue through their disciples in the power of the Spirit.
Since returning home to Ohio last week, God has brought several “thirsty” women from local churches to Jody and Christy. Lord willing they will start Butterfly training with these women in Ohio next month. Pray that God will fill these thirsty Ohio Butterflies with His living water, to bring powerful transformation, healing and freedom to other women in their city.
The Lord will take us as far into the river as we want to go with Him. The fullness of the Holy Spirit is experienced by those who are thirsty, by those who say “Lord, I am desperate for You. I can do nothing without you. You have done so much for me. No matter what it costs, no matter what it means, my life is Yours, fill me with Your living water, let me bring Your life to others.”
Thank you for praying for our Butterfly around the world; Would you pray that we will be continually thirsty and continually filled from the river of life so that we can bring Living water to those women all around us who are living in a dry and barren land.
“Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” Ezekiel 47:12
With heartfelt love and thankfulness for your prayers.
Yours In His Deep Love
