He Has Done Great Things Let’s Get Real – Update

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself. John 12:32

Dear friend,

God abundantly exceeded our expectations for Let’s Get Real, our event for women in Orlando, last month. 117 women attended the event, many for the first time. 13 women drove 2.5 hours from South Florida. Most women came by personal invitation, the power of women reaching women.

The Lord had laid on my heart for several months the theme Fear Not – Look Up!  He knew how many women were bound by deep rooted fears. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully through our worship, teaching sessions, testimonies and table discussions, lifting bondages, removing fears, exposing lies and bringing freedom to women as they looked to Jesus ONLY for their help and hope.

Three of our butterflies shared powerful testimonies of how God has helped them overcome their greatest fears, including reaching other women, and walking through the valley of death when losing a child. (Videos available at link below).

Many women expressed a desire to continue to pursue knowing God and their identity and freedom in Him, after the event. As a result:

  • 5 new LUV weekly groups, are starting in East Orlando and Downtown Orlando this week led by our local LUV leaders. This is in addition to 3 LUV weekly groups already meeting with women in East Orlando. We praise God that women’s hearts in Orlando are just as hungry for God as women overseas.
  • 6 women registered for LUV Workshop One in March to experience greater transformation and freedom, and to be equipped to disciple and minister to other women. One of these women wants to be equipped to reach women in her native country, a country closed to Christianity.
  • 5 women from S. Florida also requested training to disciple women. We are praying for God’s timing to start a workshop in S. Florida to equip these women to help Tanya in our growing Jail ministry.
Testimonies from Let’s Get Real

One non-believer asked a lot of questions about God and did not understand who He is or what forgiveness meant. Her culture and religious background knows nothing about God or Christianity. When her table host (one of our LUV leaders) explained forgiveness through Jesus, she immediately wanted to write to her parents to forgive them for her past hurts! She also prayed to receive Jesus! Although now she understands very little, a light has entered her darkness. Like the blind man, the first touch of receiving her sight is a blur. Pray the veil will be lifted and her eyes fully opened to see Jesus as women help her grow in spiritual understanding to really know Him!

I cried tears of joy as I witnessed Christians worshiping the Lord as 1 body, 1 voice in 1 spirit. I felt the unspoken unity, unspoken love and the past/present brokenness that allowed us to look at each other with eyes filled with love and hope. Our differences did not create boundaries, instead it drew us together.  This week I finally confessed the un-forgiveness that I have allowed to dwell in my heart and mind for years. By the grace of God, my “love letter” at the event, was about forgiveness. I feel so blessed knowing that the Lord pursues me in spite of my mistakes.”

Thanks for helping me remember that God loves me.  Learning that letting go and have solely faith in God, that He will make things fall in to place for me.  Becoming a stronger truthful believer in God.”

No matter where we are on journey, there is something that is trying to distract me from Jesus.  This helped me with that and to focus me back to Him.

Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for the new groups starting this week, for God’s anointing on our group leaders, some leading LUV groups for the first time. Pray women will experience healing, freedom and transformation that impacts their families and our community.

In His Love,
Liz
