Happy New Year 2025!

The Holy Spirit has continued setting women free to be who God created them to be as butterfly discipleship groups met worldwide to be transformed, equipped and empowered to be disciples and to make disciples.
Dear Friend and Partner,
On May 2, 2024, the Lord called home one of my dearest friends who was also my prayer partner, financial partner and much-loved mentor. She has been a sad loss this year. But I thank God for her investment in my life and in Love UnVeiled.
I was invited to share a few words at Karen’s funeral. As I pondered what to share, the words came to me –
“May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.” Psalm 144:12
Karen Henegar was certainly a pillar in the kingdom of God. She was regal, beautiful inside and out, and until the day she died, just before her 89th birthday, she was still building God’s kingdom by encouraging younger women like me to fulfill their God-given purpose. Karen was a pillar of support who God used to help me build His kingdom in the hearts of women.
Karen marked my life forever when I spent a week with her and the Jesus Film team at the United Nations in 2007, to launch the Premier of the movie, Magdalena Released from Shame.
After the event, we were challenged to take the International Premier of this movie about how Jesus values women, to Nigeria, in 3 weeks’ time.
My heart longed to go!
When I mentioned this to Karen she said, “I’ll go with you – let’s pray about it!” Out of work, in a turbulent season of my life, I replied – “there is no way we can get visas in 3 weeks, or raise the money needed.”
The next morning Karen asked me “Did you pray?” “About what?” I replied. “About Nigeria” she replied. “No I didn’t – It’s impossible!” was my lame response. “Not for God,” Karen said smiling.
Three weeks later, Karen and I were on a flight to Nigeria. In three weeks, God had miraculously provided visas and funds for the trip.
In Nigeria, the long days, intense heat, dusty rough roads and difficult living conditions did not slow down the strength or strong faith of this 72-year-old woman of faith.
As hundreds of women came forward
for prayer at the end of the movie, my heart broke over and over, hearing their stories.
When I asked the Nigerian leader “who will follow up with these women?” she told me, “We don’t have ministry or resources to equip our women to follow up or to minister to these broken oppressed women.”
That trip to Nigeria in 2007 became one of the building stones in the vision and calling God gave me for Love UnVeiled – to heal the broken hearted, set the captives free and transform, equip and empower women to multiply His Kingdom among the lost and broken.
Karen was a strong pillar, supporting and encouraging me in that vision. I would not have gone to Nigeria without her faith, prayers and nudging.
Karen represents others who have been and are still pillars in my life and in Love UnVeiled – such as my 90-year-old friend who nudged me to take a crazy leap of faith which led to going to SE Asia in 2010 where the Holy Spirit continues to heal women’s hearts and set them free to build His kingdom in unreached tribal groups.
Friend, you too are a pillar in the house of God. Your partnership with us is holding up the building of God’s kingdom in the hearts of women globally.
As we close 2024, the following highlights are just a taste of what God has been doing this year through your support and partnership. (For photo version of the enews, please email [email protected] to join our mailing list.)

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.” Revelation 3:12
